“The world is moving so fast these days that the man who says it can’t be done is generally interrupted by someone doing it.”
– Elbert Hubbard – an American Author from the first half of the last century.
In This Episode
You’re going to learn about one of the most debilitating mindsets which will destroy just about every effort you make towards self-improvement. This mindset isn’t negative about the ideas or the opportunities, but about your ability to succeed at them. Defeatism will take you down before you’ve even started.
There are a million ideas around us but we fail to take advantage of them because of this mental monster called defeatism. This beast feeds off of our perceived weaknesses which have absolutely nothing to do with our actual abilities or inabilities. We fail before we even try because we believe we don’t have what it takes to succeed.
You’ll also learn how defeatism become a self-perpetuating process; convincing you that you don’t have what it takes when when it succeeds, it will use that failure to convince you again in the future. You must keep in mind that you didn’t actually fail, you simply failed to act.
Of course, I share with you the best way for you to defeat this defeatist mindset before it defeats you and I give you some action steps you can take every single day to make sure you always stay one step ahead of defeatism.
I would love to hear how you’ve battled and defeated defeatism in the comments below. When you share, you’ll be encouraging others who may be struggling as well.
